Commissioning a figurative painting or portrait is easy. I am always happy to discuss your particular requirements and costings with no commitment. My style is realistic or you can think of it as high definition, if you like.
My portraits are fairly simple and uncluttered in appearance, focusing more on the character and likeness of the person. I aim to show the human dignity each subject is entitled to have revealed in a portrait.
The most common setting is the home environment of the sitter but any
setting would be considered. Good natural daylight is essential.
When the composition has been set I will take several photographs, this could take as little as ten minutes, longer if required.
Should you have an existing image for me to reproduce as an oil painting,
I would be happy for you to send it to me for a look.
Whatever your requirements, the best way to start is to drop me a message or call to discuss further. Visit the contact page for details.
Setting a price for your portrait very much depends on what you would require. The size of the painting, the amount of detail in the clothing and accessories or even the number of people in the painting are all considerations.
