My work 'Winter' has been selected for the exhibition which is early next year at the Mall Galleries in London. There will be only 50 works in the show, so happy to have been included. Details and dates coming soon!
The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Members and Associates annual exhibition in now on and open through the 24th of December, 2016. Two of my still life paintings will be on show.
For over 170 years the diverse practices of the RBSAs Members and Associates have been displayed in this annual exhibition, including the work of those newly elected this year (that would include myself). http://www.rbsa.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/members-and-associates-2016/ Thanks to Degree Art for the fantastic Portrait 16 show and private view last night. Lots of friendly faces and summer wine to go with the mix of portraits on show.
http://www.degreeart.com/portrait-16 A new chapter has begun...I have very recently been accepted as an associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. This is a big one for me as the institution has over 200 years of promoting the arts and its members work. Excited to be part of this group of very fine artists and look forward to finding my place within the Society. Much more news to come!
Now showing six pics in the Candidates Exhibition along with 14 other artists at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists gallery. Exciting times as all artists have put their best foot forward in hopes of becoming an associate member in the long established arts society which is over 200 years young and still moving and shaking. A big thank you is due to my two RBSA sponsors Robert Neil and Simon Davis for helping me get this far.
Just got some good news....my entry for this years BP Portrait Award has just cleared the first major hurdle before selection into this years show opening in June. Now I must deliver my work for the judges to make their final selection with the shortlisted work in front of them. The final selection will be revealed at the end of March so fingers crossed until then...
Spent the last year working on my portrait entry for this year, some photos coming soon. Until then heres a clue as to who it is. What a wonderful evening at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists gallery. Still mulling over some of the very fine portraits as well as the friendly conversations with fellow artists. Great show, great orginization...Thank you RBSA and judges for highly commending my portrait 'Winter'.
